Join us for a Birthday Party!
Saturday, February 15, 12 -4 pm
Presidents George Washington and Franklin Delano Roosevelt both visited Philipse Manor Hall, and this Presidents’ Day you can do the same!
Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site will hold its annual Presidents’ Day celebration on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Philipse Manor Hall, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The program will include a presidential quiz, scavenger hunt, mock election, and hourly storytimes. Celebrate Abraham Lincoln’s 205th Birthday with candle making from 12 – 2 pm and a birthday cake at 2 pm. To further commemorate the day, Lincoln will recite The Gettysburg Address at 2:30 and meet visitors later in the afternoon. Throughout the day, visitors will have a chance to make their own set of George Washington’s famous false teeth and draw portraits of presidents like the ones hanging in the museum.
All activities for the day are included in the cost of admission: $1 for children under 12 and $3 for adults. For information or questions, please call Philipse Manor Hall's Public Programs Coordinator at (914) 965-4027 x102.
